Maha Nava Chandi Homam,Tiruvallur, Chennai

The Nava chandi homam at Tiruvallur, near Chennai was scheduled for the 26th of May 2011.The purpose behind our homams and prayers are consistently the same for global welfare. This Maha chandi Homam was no different. The region is under the grip of a severe heat wave or agni nakshatra. This time we also made sankalpams  and prayed the mother goddess Durga Parameswari for relief from the severity of heat.
There was a slight delay in the start under these circumstances. The yagna was conducted in a warm afternoon. The yagna was completed with strict adherence of our guru parampara tradition at about 10.30 in the night.
As all the devotees noticed and remarked the agni for the yagna –  as our devotees may already be aware- is a crucial step in our guru parampara. This time the Goddess blessed us with a very short wait. We consider that a real blessing.
Apart from the regular happenings there were indications that gave us reasons to believe that our yagna was completely in tune with our guru parampara and had Guruji’s  blessing. Nature works with us humans when we make sincere attempts to harness the power of Nature with a sincere and traditional prayer. God communicates through indications.that is what we comprehend from the unseasonal showers the region received 3 days before the yagna and 3 days after the yagna also.
