Raja Mathangi Sahita Ashta Lakshmi Deepa Pooja at Glen Waverley, Victoria, Australia
19th Feb, 2012 was a great experience to many Melbournians who were initiated to Deepa Pooja by Sri Lakshmiji. The pooja started with Lakshmiji providing the gathering with insight into the importance and benefits of the Deepa pooja. The myth of Lakshmi pooja for ladies was broken by the gentle perseverance of Sri Lakshmiji with many men and children performing the pooja. To allow every member of the 18 families to perform & participate, the pooja was spread over two batches. The preparations for the pooja had been arduously planned under the guidance of Shanthi and Shubha.
Slow & clear rendering of the mantras by Lakshmiji helped the bhatktas recite & perform the pooja leading to an intensely charged and virbrant atmosphere. Sri Lakshmiji further slowed the pace to allow the bhakthas perform 24 shashtanga namaskaraha while reciting nams thasmai namas thasmai mantraha.
Sri Lakshmiji distributed prasadam and individually blessed all the participants and family. The Deepa pooja was followed by a maha prasad provided by Sudha & group.
