Sri Maha Ganapathy Moola Mantra Homam , Ganesh Utsav, 2010
With the Blessings of Lord Maha Ganapathi and Guru Parampara, the “Maha Ganapathi Moola Mantra Homam” was conducted on Saturday, 11th September, 2010 at Chrompet,Chennai. Sri Lakshmiji of the Guru Parampara, initiated the Homam and six learned vedic pundits performed the Homam with total dedication, strictly as per the vedic heritage. 1001 modaks, Ghee,Sweet Pongal, Milk Payasam(Porridge) fruits and flowers were offered during the Homam. Sri Vallabha Maha Ganapathy Moola mantra Homam was followed by Sri Sukhta Homam to invoke the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. As per tradition in our Guru parampara, the concluding homam was that of Lord Sri Panchamukha Hanuman. The devotional event was ended with the submission of Purnahuthi to Lord Maha Ganapathi amidst the chanting of Ganapathi Atharvanasheersha Upanishad.
